Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data the Libre iOS app ("Libre", "the app") processes, why, and what choices you have. We have designed Libre to work without an account and to collect as little as possible.
1. Who we are
Libre is published by LIMED (3 rue Françoise Dolto, 75013 Paris, France), which is the data controller for the processing described here. Contact: libre@limed.tech.
2. What Libre does
Libre shows Paris restaurants with free tables, using publicly available availability data that we refresh periodically. When you choose a restaurant, you book on that restaurant's own booking platform (an external website or app), which is governed by that platform's own terms and privacy policy. Libre does not take reservations, does not take payments for meals, and does not guarantee a table.
3. Data we process
Location
If you grant permission, Libre uses your precise location, only while you are using the app. It is used on your device to centre the map, sort restaurants by distance and check whether you are in Paris. Your location is not sent to our servers and not stored. You can withdraw permission at any time in iPhone Settings; the app keeps working without it.
Anonymous device identifier and wishlist
The app generates a random identifier (a UUID) for your device. This identifier, together with the list of restaurants you add to your wishlist, is stored on our backend (Supabase, on EU/US infrastructure) so that your wishlist survives if you reinstall the app. It is not linked to your name, email address or any other identity. You can delete wishlist items at any time by removing them in the app. To delete all data associated with your device, email libre@limed.tech.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.) to validate purchases and manage your access to paid features; RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase history. We never see your payment card details.
Server logs
Our hosting providers keep server logs (such as IP address and request metadata) for security purposes, for a limited period.
What we do not do
- No advertising.
- No tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
- No selling of your data.
- No analytics SDKs.
- No user accounts.
4. Legal bases
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process data on the basis of performing our contract with you (providing the app and its features, including the wishlist and subscriptions) and our legitimate interest (keeping our services secure and working).
5. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, email libre@limed.tech. Because we do not know who you are, we may ask you for information that helps us find the data linked to your device. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in France the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
6. Service providers and transfers
We rely on Apple (App Store purchases), RevenueCat, Inc. (purchase validation) and Supabase (backend storage), as well as our hosting providers. Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union, including in the United States.
7. Retention
Your device identifier and wishlist are kept for as long as you use the app, or until you delete them or ask us to. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security reasons.
8. Children
Libre is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page.
